The Guild Method - Guidelines for Imparting Skills
Guild Strategic Charter
This charter should be read and understood by all Guild members and Delivery partners. A portion of our success derives itself from a set of core values and guidelines that govern the guild. As with any successful guild, member passion for your craft and participation is key. Below are some of our core guild goals, rules, policies etc. that prospective members and guild partners should know.
All decisions are ultimately made or ratified by the guild master. The Guild Master will develop the guidelines with direction from The Merge Foundation and input from the Guild Partners. The overall goal of all decisions is to make each individual guild the best possible experience for all partners and members. So we term the style of guild as a 'benevolent dictatorship.' Feedback from partners is encouraged regularly and plays a large part in the decision making process. All partners and members have an open door policy and anything that is presented in a respectful manner is read, considered and weighs into final decisions.
The Guild Partner will implement the guidelines for each particular guild. All implementation of the guidelines within the context of member projects are ultimately made or ratified by the guild partners. Feedback from members is encouraged regularly and plays a large part in the implementation process.
